It's cool how science has advanced from dinosaurs being just "gone" when I was a kid to evolving into modern birds.

Heck, in hindsight, some birds don't really look that far separated from dinos

Spent all of my #gamedev time today trying to get SIMD working to speed up sprite painting and I just get a black screen

I can't tell if that's because I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to vectorization (and there's a total lack of documentation or examples) or because the vectorization in C# doesn't get translated to WASM

It's also really hard to debug because either you get raw WASM or what VS brings across from the browser which I don't fully trust

How could we start a thing so people who are working on floss projects, like games, can get a regular income?

Over time, I've encountered many who are neuroatypical and/or disabled and/or disadvantaged in many ways—and yet they still contribute and create without income.

The Koffees and Patreons don't seem to work. It will take a more social collective.

After a bunch of needless struggle*, I have a reliable way to query against meshes etc. in the Godot Editor (i.e. in tool mode).

Anyway, I will be writing a short post on my wiki about how to do spatial queries. Will post soon-as.

  • I have problems with Godot's docs and I'm not sure where to lend a hand to try improve them.
