#Godot Community Forums were made read-only by a new owner.
At May this year, the previous owner of GCF @TwistedTwigleg has burnt out and tranferred the ownership of forum to @cybereality. Andres was granted all the permissions needed due to his enthusiasm. In the middle of this week, zie suddenly created an exhaustive post accusing #GodotEngine to be a scam.
Now, I'm not going to peel the layers of threads and subthreads of this incident for you, so better read for yourself.
#Godot Community Forums is but another #platform with the puppetteer. I would not ask enthusiasts to host similar #platforms indefinitely and users to depend on them, since each one of them remains a #WalledGarden.
I think we should gather more around the distributed communities on #Lemmy, #Matrix and such. This way, nobody feels sick of being in the single room with hot-headed decision makers.
It is frightening to see how #journalists (even those supposedly knowing about #media, like #MargaretSullivan@TheGuardian) realise how and why #Twitter failed them and us as a digital public space but entirely fail to draw any meaningful conclusions for themselves. Instead they willingly stumble into the next #platform dependency that will harm independent #journalism and degrade public discourse.
Tachi-gui udon place, where people eat Udon noodle while standing at the counter
Kokura Station, Kitakyushu, Japan
Due to heavy rain, the train schedules got messed up, and we were so hungry before meeting with my brother’s family 😭
So lucky to find a tachi-gui udon place on the platform at Kokura Station - not only our kids got some tasty food, they also learned an interesting part of Japanese fast food and lifestyle 😋 ☺️
With looming introduction of #threads and the subsequent integration with the #fediverse I thought a quick summary of a key piece of #economics literature is in order. Likely too late, but perhaps not.
Q2) How do advertisers know they're getting what they paid for?
A) various ratings agencies, bitd, and the analysis which has largely moved in-house for #streaming and #internet#platform s.
This would be the Nielsen's and a whole host of stuff under the umbrella of "market research".
I have accounts in #Mastodon, #Calckey, #Kbin, and #Lemmy because I want to try all the things. But it’s starting to feel redundant. Especially between Kbin and Lemmy.
I’m trying to figure out a useful blend or system for interacting with all of them with the minimum number of discrete accounts and apps. A #medaverse#app/#platform, if you will.
I love platform games where you have to collect gems and other parts. If the whole thing is well balanced with enemies, level design, etc., it's a real pleasure! A lot of fun!
Do you have any recommendations? Your favorites? :0)
I think I'm approaching the end of episode 1: "Dr. Mangle's Lab"! :0)

Until a few days ago, I'm thought that #knowledge will be a new #platform and so. I'm just realized, I'm being wrong. Knowledge will looking like real #money. Not just huge difference, but #scary it is.
How should human #communities exist if human knowledge equals money in this direct way?
How hard to have #transparent legal order, if money rules knowing of information too?
How far to #educate the next generation if giving the knowledge equals giving money?
