Dr. Seuss and the weight-loss drug craze - By Kurt Cobb, originally published by Resource Insights
May 12, 2024

"...The obesity epidemic is being driven by industrial chemicals known as endocrine disruptors in the environment that make their way into humans via the air, the water & the food supply... Many industrial chemicals mimic endocrine chemicals in the body thereby interfering with the body’s signaling system.

...We have a system that creates widespread obesity through chemical poisoning and then sells people weight-loss drugs to take off the excess weight. When the drugs are discontinued, the weight comes back.

...Ironically, these drugs work by interfering with the body’s appetite control system by making people feel less hungry and more full. This is the same system that endocrine disruptors interfere with in the opposite manner..."

Why do people put fucking cow juice in everything?

I hate that some undeclared drop of that shit in food that shouldn't rightfully contain any fucks up my day, and probably several to come.

Not to mention that some calf was yanked from its mother for this, and then made into veal cutlets.

The world truly doesn't need that crap.

@jens Welcome to the Netherlands! Here we have a new tax rule "suger tax" for beverages. With an exemption for cowjuice, no matter how much sugar is in it. to fight . From 0,2% cowjuice the tax exemption is applicable. :blobfacepalm: So now all beverage makers start adding a little, for the tax benefit :blob_dizzy_face:

As soon as the cruel honesty of capitalism tells Mattel that it’s in their best interest to do so, they’ll leave feminist Barbie behind, the same way they abandoned the plus-size models and the body positive photoshoots."
