The #Swedish#navy is getting 4 new ships around 2030. The ships will be well over 100 meters which marks a big shift in Swedish naval strategy. The new ships will be named Luleå class. They will most likely not be made in composite materials like the Visby class corvettes. The hulls will be made abroad because there are no shipyard in Sweden that currently can build ship of this size. SAAB is the main contractor for the project.
