Thus begins a first for me on two levels, one I will be simultaneously live tweeting, tooting and skeeting along with a movie and two that movie will be Swordfish from 2001, which I have never seen before.
Folks it is an HOUR until #MONSTERDON, the weekly monster movie watch party! Activate your filters if you don't want to see that!
This week's flick is EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS, a Harryhausen classic that riffs on the era of UFO flaps. I'm torn between obscure UFO lore jokes and going Joe Nickell on this thing :P
Folks, it is an hour until #MONSTERDON, your weekly monster movie watch party. If you'd rather avoid a flood of toots about a goofy monster flick, set up a filter!
This week is a doozy, we got GODMONSTER OF INDIAN FLATS! It looks... Uh, bad. God save this vessel and all who sail in her ^^;;;
IT'S -- shit whoops -- TWENTY MINUTES until #MONSTERDON! This week's movie is, uh, Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001). Sounds like a barn-burner, better strap in folks.
Iiit's about, meh, 45 minutes until #Monsterdon! We'll be filling your timeline with monster movie talk, so if you don't want to see that set up a filter to block the hashtag!
This week we're watching IT CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA (1955), a movie about a claymation octopus! I'm excited.
#Monsterdon returns in an hour and a half! It's a weekly watch-along of a monster movie! If you don't want to see a bunch of out-of-context toots about a cheesy old flick, use the hashtag blocking filter that can be found in your Preferences!
Folks it is an hour until #Monsterdon, a weekly watch party for goofy monster movies! This week's flick is ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS (1957), apparently one of Roger Corman's finest. For whatever that may be worth.
It's just about time for #Monsterdon! This week's movie is Godzilla: Tokyo SOS! Apparently featuring multiple monsters, so I'm looking forward to some good model city explosions :3
Alrighty folks it is an hour until #MONSTERDON your weekly monster movie watch party!
This week is MATANGO (1963), aka Attack of the Mushroom People! A classic by Ishiro Honda of Godzilla fame :D
If you want to mute the hashtag, now's a good time to turn 'em on. If you want to join in, the film's available ad free and gratis over here: https://archive.org/details/1963-matango-anslyn
Looking for #recommendations for a #movie to watch this evening. I'm currently very into slow-moving spy thrillers of the post-war, cold war period, and the more paranoid, the better.
Anything in the vein of The Third Man or The Spy Who Came In From the Cold would be awesome.
"We can wrap you in a full-body suit of neoprene, heat-resistant rubber. Or we can raise the temperature in Cosmo's office to 98.6 degrees - which is probably what we'll have to do, because the neoprene would suffocate you. "
Ladies and gentlemen, it is an hour until #Monsterdon! Your weekly viewing party in which denizens of this humble portal gather to mock -- uh, APPRECIATE old monster movies :D
For me, it’s “Don’t Look Up” bc while the #movie is supposed to be satire, it’s terrifyingly plausible from my perspective as a former staffer who now studies science policy.
Catching up on a missed film. M3GAN was fun! Feels a bit like a modern Chucky crossed with Ex Machina, a splash of Terminator and a few other android/AI sci-fi’s. 🤖 #horror#scifi#movie#film
LOL Apparently a new movie about a vengeful beekeeper who takes down a ring of cybercrooks. I'm laughing so much I am crying. The trailer includes the use of a jar of honey as a weapon against someone with a 50cal machine gun. #beekeeping#beekeeper#movie
As a UCLA student I was brought in for a test screening of Alien 3 (they got students all the time), which I thought was terrible, and I haven't watched the sequels since.
