I got a "Light my Brick" kit for my Boba Fett Lego Helmet kit. It's pretty cool. The spot lights would have been enough. But the red inner lights are neat.

Heute läuft in der EU eine Ausnahmeregelung für den Verkauf von quecksilberhaltigen Leuchtstoffröhren aus. Wer sie noch verwendet, sollte über Alternativen nachdenken.

So, mein #WLED 🔴🟢🔵 Pixel-Controller ist da. Fehlt nur noch das #LED Stripe und ein Netzteil.
Ich bin mir nicht sicher, aber es gibt ein paar GPIO Breakouts, wo ich theoretisch einen IR Receiver anbringen könnte. Keine Ahnung, ob das geht (nicht im Gehäuse, aber das wäre nicht schlimm). Kennt sich jemand mit dem cod.m Pixel Controller aus?
Da ein #esp32 verbaut ist, gibt es auch Bluetooth. WLED hat aber keine BT Unterstützung. Das wäre auch nett, eine App zu haben, die per BT steuert. 🤔
We did a little patching to bridge 2 shorter LED strips today. We soldered across the pads then put hot glue on both sides and squeezed it flat with heat shrink. Now every square is filled in. Next is to work out how to increase the voltage of 3.3v from the microcontroller for the data channel that needs 5v. #LED#Soldering#Noisebridge
Fun mit meinem neuen Projekt mit #LED Light-Strip, #WLED oder #Pixelblaze und den ersten Tests mit dem IR Receiver KY-022, der hier noch in der Bastelkiste lag. Das aber an einem #arduino#UNO ausprobiert, um mal zu schauen, wie ich die IR Codes der Fernbedienung ermitteln kann.
Ist doch etwas spezieller, als gedacht. Man muss schon wissen, welche FB genutzt werden soll. Aber egal, das ist kein Problem. Die Samsung FB funktioniert.
So, ich habe mein erstes #Pixelblaze Projekt. Zwei V3 Module aus den USA bestellt. #LED Light-Strip (#SK9322, 1 m 144 LED) und Netzteil hier in D bestellt.

I tooted that I had bought 3 metres of low voltage (4.5V) #LED tape which was powered by 3xAA's.
And now...the conclusion...
Used the half of the tape connected to the batteries as one light.
The rest of the tape is now powered by two recovered vape batteries (in parallel).
Also used a slider switch, 22 ohm resistor, charge/discharge control board, some connecting wires and lots of hot melt glue.
Lining up a new project for this year's Wooly Fair in Providence, which will likely be a massive (8' tall?) pixelated lamb where each pixel is a discrete LED panel (3"x3" or so), perhaps touch-sensitive for color changing. This should be a fun one!
Started construction on the LED Lamb guts. I was worried the jigsaw might not be precise enough, but with tight measurements, it's going to do the trick. Each cell will be 5' square. #LED#wood#woodprojects#woodwork 🐑
