When Israeli officials discuss possible arrest warrants for Netanyahu and other government members by the International Criminal Court in The Hague, it should tell you two important things, IMHO:
They fear the ICC might have gathered enough material to actually issue arrest warrants.
The ICC is very relevant and has real power, no matter what many folks out there, especially from the US, try to tell.
This is a topic that can (and will) attract extreme positions from many sides. I sincerely hope we can keep the discussion civilised. Could y'all please add (paywalled) or ($) or (€) when you post links here to content behind paywalls? It is really annoying to click through several "consent banners" and other popups, thus feeding gazillions of trackers, just to get the "to continue reading, please subscribe" message. #kthxbai
I see more and more often that people post bit.ly links here. Please don't. First and foremost — it hides the real URL, so I don't know where I am sent to. Second: you force me to use a service that collects, aggregates and shares data on who clicks what when, which I consider very bad practice. Finally, no matter how long your URL is, it only counts as 23 characters in your post, so no need to "shorten" links [1]

IMHO: If (and that’s a very big if) Facebook decides to start federating with #ActivityPub for #threads, they will claim that in order to “protect” their 100M users, they will only federate with a limited, small set of instances. And they will say that they might “invite” more instances to federate with them, if these instances are deemed worthy. Under whatever unknown criteria that will not be transparent.
