Today I roasted a big chicken...I usually roast some hunk o' meat that I then eat on for a few days every week. This time I have different plans though! I will be eating much of it but plan to use the breasts (not a lover of white meat) to make chicken flour. Seems easy enough on videos...anybody here ever make it? I also want to make my own butter mayo. I am absolutely CRAVING animal-based foods lately! The term "carnivore" usual means meat-based in common usage it seems, but I'm eating dairy as well...anyway, I was headed in that direction, just seems it is happening faster than I'd planned! Still working out the details but for the last few days I'm eating what I crave - and it's all animal-based. Wow.
What is this witchcraft... ive eaten 2 meals, not super hungry, and somehow still have 900 calories left in my diet for the day (and thats not my break even point, thats my loose 2 lbs a week point).
Time sure is flying! Everything is all good over here. I went to the #keto bakery over the weekend. I actually had one of their brownies. It was really good. I am proud of myself. Still have stuck strong to my goals. I'm feeling awesome. Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Just finished my first 5K with no stops and zero walking. I tried to keep my speed as slow and as even as possible and wow, it got really tough during the last 1.5km. 🎉
My previous record without walking was just past 2 miles or just past 3km.

Many of you said "running slower is harder and it will make you faster" and I didn't believe it. I'm starting to believe it now. 🎽
I tried my hardest to run as slow as I possibly could.
I burned about 5% more calories, finished a little sooner than usual, and did all that in a heat index of 115°F/46°C. I felt out of breath maybe 3-4 times but that usually happens 10+ times in this heat.
The one thing I miss about "real" pizza crust is the chewiness. I don't want my toppings on bread, and I don't want them on cake. I don't want something that crumbles in my mouth or turns to mush.
This is one recipe that I will try as written (something VERY rare for me!), and see if it lives up to its claims. I'm not sure why it needs so many eggs...but if it isn't exactly what I want but shows promise I will tweak it the next time.

So I have made wraps out of carton egg whites before but people keep talking about the Egg Life brand - but they're expensive! So after finding another recipe that used them I did a search for a copycat recipe and found this video - wow, they look so easy and quick, and I don't have to keep a carton of egg whites in the fridge either, just some of the powder I always have on hand! Really want to try these SOON! Egg wraps make fantastic noodles too, I've read...
(BTW, gelatin is AMAZING and has many uses in low carb, keto, and carnivore cooking and baking! I just found this out last month, what rock have I been hiding under???)
I used my other 2 slices of my animal-based bread to make a grilled-ham-and-cheese sandwich. And it was DEEEE-VINE! Crispy and buttery, with some thin-sliced deli ham surrounded by sharp pinconning and havarti cheeses...ahhhh.....
Breakfast this morning was in celebration of my awesome results for my calcium score I used Andouille Louisiana sausage, mushrooms and garlic with 2 hardboiled eggs. Today we ate at a restaurant and I took the opportunity to write a post about it...what I ate isn't that important, but I do share the most helpful tips I use to keep myself from straying way off the track.
