I think this is a band-winged dragonlet (Erythrodiplax umbrata), perched on the tip of one of our obedience plants in the front garden yesterday evening.
I've moved from Mastodon.Social to Sauropods.Win; in celebration here's a Muscleman Tree Ant (Podomyrma gratiosa), looking a little worse for the wear—she's missing a pair of legs!
@matt it makes me think of a firefly but it looks more like a "Cantharidae" (soldier beetle) on this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firefly#/media/File:Cantharis_lateralis_85974126.jpg
Can someone help me identify this #insect that I saw crawling on a radiator in our home? The hind legs are noticeable longer than the front two pairs, sort of like a grasshopper (though it's obviously not one). You can get a sense of its size from the bit of AA battery at the top of the photo.
