This critter was pretty well hidden in a small pocket between the base of a swamp milkweed leaf and the stem. ID apps think its some kind of leafcutter bee, but I was unable to get a view of it that would give me more confidence in the ID.
In the dark of night, I followed a repetitive clicking to find the source. It was the sound of this click beetle (aka pasture wireworm) trying its best to get free from the web of a boreal combfoot spider.
A brown marmorated stink bug nymph investigating an empty exoskeleton. I'm not sure if its the one that molted or if the exoskeleton came from another.
