So I have been playing around with the Miyoo mini and have really been loving it. The ps one capability and also the Ds are great on it. I was a bit shocked about the ds as I thought I would hate playing that system on it but the button mapping is spot on with the Onion firmware and you can switch screens no problem. The upcoming #AYANEO and #GPD#handhelds will be utilizing the next generation AMD APU, the 8840U, but the new APU may not be the true generational update we expect.
With the #3DS online services being shut down in April 2024, are there any can't-miss online gaming experiences to be had on the platform? It's a shame that this is happening, but at the same time most of my experience with the handheld has been in single player or local multiplayer games.

The purple Game Boy Color was my first ever game system, followed by the purple #GBA and then the blue SP. The original DMG needs some repairs and replacement parts, it was a garage sale pickup years ago.
I use the #SteamDeck a lot nowadays, but I still try to make time for the #retro#handhelds. The mini #emulation handhelds can be a nice change of pace as well! Do you still like old school handhelds? Let me know!
I'm trying to find a good CRT shader for #RetroArch to preserve transparency effects (like the waterfalls in Sonic 2) and dithering. The problem is, a lot of shaders that are lightweight enough (easymode, lottes-fast, etc.) don't seem to do the trick, the ones that work well (sonkun, royale) are too heavy for the hardware, and some that might be solid contenders are made for 1080p+ resolutions and create giant, goofy scanlines at 480p.
The #handhelds are so easy with the lcd-v2-color shaders, but finding a good CRT shader for home console #emulation has been tough with this device.
