Got these gay cuties in the mail today. (Side note: Swedish customs fees suck.)
Looking forward to reading #KissItGoodbye again at some point in the future, but for the time being I'll just be happy to have the collection on the shelf. I already have some books to read for the first time...

In Spain, 68.4% of the population over the age of 14 reads books. Most of these people read for pleasure in their spare time, choosing the genres that interest them most according to their personal tastes and preferences.
Small indie #bookstores are the best. Got introduced to Lynn Ward (1905-1985), who created wordless #GraphicNovels (the first in the U.S.) & was also an award winning #kidlit illustrator.
Influenced by his dad (first chairman of the ACLU), and by German expressionist graphic artists. Went on to influence Art Spiegelman, Eric Drooker and others.
Looking for something to read on your beach vacation? Julia Rittenberg reckons comics and graphic novels are the best option because of their immersive nature. A flawed but interesting article. For instance no mention of #MADMagazine which for most of its classic years routinely had a circulation of over one million copies per issue and sometimes hit two million.
Reading some lovely Flying Eye books for kids that are coming out next month, for Bookseller's Circle (kind of a recommends for Booksellers, by other Booksellers).
Laura Suarez's graphic novel Monster Support Group (nice Addams Family vibe to take of growing up & changing), & Adriena Fong's picture book Ning & the Night Spirits, which is channelling some seriously lovely Ghibli vibes.
