The first-ever dataset bridging #molecular information about the poplar #tree #microbiome to #ecosystem-level processes has been released. The project aims to inform research regarding how natural systems function, their vulnerability to a changing #climate, and ultimately how plants might be #engineered for better performance as sources of #bioenergy and natural carbon storage.

Totally random request but I feel like this is probably the right place for this.
-I'm looking for a killer DIY home made cleaner that makes chemical sense. I've been using a great mix of isopropyl/dish soap /washing soda/water that works great in my bathroom. But I need something that doesn't leave a white residue for the kitchen. Same recipe minus washing soda? I'm going to use it for counter tops etc

Canadian biochemist & organic chemist Maud Lenora Menten was born #OTD in 1879.

She made significant contributions to enzyme kinetics and histochemistry, & invented a procedure that remains in use. She is most famous for her collaboration with German biochemist Leonor Michaelis in developing the Michaelis-Menten equation, a fundamental concept in enzyme kinetics. This equation describes the rate of enzymatic reactions and is crucial in understanding how enzymes function.
