The concept of "Jihad" would indicate the aggression is less of an intervention, but in fact an act to reduce ranks of other creeds, and to enlarge the aggressor's creed.
The prejudice on, and mongering of, violence within the tenets of the creeds would say you need to avoid allowing them to bootstrap, and cleanse their wrong doing as such.
