Corridors of severe wind of 60-80 mph and occasional very large hail0 (in excess of 2 inches in diameter) can be expected with multiple convective clusters across east/southeast Texas and far southwest Louisiana through this afternoon, and from west into central Texas later this afternoon into tonight.

It was two days before superstorm Sandy hit the north east and I was driving into town when a leaf landed on my antenna and hung there in the wind and rain. All the way up until the storm hit, it poured every day and those overcast skies seemed to say, "beware." I shot the image through my rainy window in the early afternoon. The sky was as dark as evening.
The Sky Before Sandy - taken at the old Stone Church in Cragsmoor, NY days before Super Storm Sandy pummeled the east coast. It was quite errie weeks before the storm arrived.
Seems like it was started a year ago. I just discovered it now, and am somewhat impressed by how much detail it provides (including Air Pollution / Air Quality Index).
So of course I filed my ponies-on-rainbows enhancement request to suggest an interactive stacked graphs representation (like a certain website I use, shown below)… 🤞👀
There's flooding and rain and wind damage in nearby provinces, but the (admittedly selfish) silver lining for me is that the weather has been pretty cool these past couple of days.
