Blog Update: I have successfully migrated email sending away from ButtonDown Email to a self-hosted Ghost instance. Nothing bad with ButtonDown - simply, Ghost has by far a better editing and publishing experience (and can be self-hosted, of course).

Made it! Two and half hour delay on VIA - but better than a 24 hour delay on Porter. And due to a surprising paucity of taxis at the Ottawa train station, I seized the opportunity to take the LRT, which was fantastic. So far, so good, on my exciting train adventure! With Pearson a mess, and many Toronto/Ottawa flights delayed or postponed, it looks as though my gamble on taking the train may pan out. (Though I am still a bit worried by all the tales I’ve heard about VIA trains shunted to sidings.) So far, I can report that we left Union Station on time, and are now chugging our way to Kingston, where I will change trains. The trick will be seeing if I make that connection. Up until now, I’ve had flawless service from Porter. But they just cancelled my flight tomorrow, leaving me very few options. So - I am now flying AC to Toronto and then taking the train to Kingston (where I’ve never been) and then VIAing on from Kingston to Ottawa. (Couldn’t get a flight from Toronto to Ottawa on AC nor Porter nor WestJet.) Spinning this for myself as a wonderful new adventure! You may be able to find some #C7-based #industrial and #embedded boards, similar to the SBCs that @rasteri used for the #Wee86 (A #PC104-based Retro Mini PC) and #WeeCee (same concept but smaller and eith a more modern CPU) but those will be frightingly expensive.
Not shure how well #VIA made cross-generation compatibility but consider getting a #ViaNano and see if you can choke it down in the UEFI/BIOS to match C3 performance...

I was just able to create a new layer in Vial that moves the arrow keys to the left side of the keyboard and maps them to s/z/x/c to make them easier to use in some keyboard shortcuts after breaking my right hand.

Luckily, she had a place to wait inside. Plus, GoZone doesn’t service all of #Denton. Schools outside the Loop are in a bind, even if in city limits.

Am nächsten Morgen dann der nächste Versuch, mit dem Zug von #Oakville nach New York kommen. Am Bahnhof dann die Auskunft: der Zug fährt. 😀 Die Unfallstelle des Güterzuges war nach 3 Tagen geräumt. Am Bahnhof wurden die ca. 6 Einsteiger persönlich vom #VIA Bahnhofspersonal auf den Abfahrtsbahnsteig geführt. Die Anzeige gibt keinen Hinweis, dass der Zug nach New York durchfährt. Aber die Lok ist von #Amtrak, also wird das schon werden.

If you collect points, they accumulate fairly quickly and never expire.
