I'm going to send myself to the bottom of the sea
In a plastic tube, just you and me!
We'll strap ourselves into a acrylic can
And go someplace that is no place for man
I'm a billionaire and I'll do any stupid thing
To make the news and make the rich people sing
Having money is not nearly enough
I need to be seen and known for stuff
My ego is so large, I'll fly to space
it's a giant billionaire's ego race
Swimming in cash, what else would I do
With my money, because it's not for you.
“It has driven me crazy in the past six years that governments are just oblivious to history. We know that the #tobacco industry lied through their teeth for decades. The lead industry did the same. The asbestos industry did the same. The plastics industry has done the same. The #pesticide industry has done the same.” #climateemergency#healthemergency#lobbys#climatecrisisisahealthcrisis
Today, April 14, 1912, RMS Titanic passenger and artist Jack Dawson draws a portrait of socialite Rose DeWitt Bukater a few hours before the ship hits an iceberg (Titanic, 1997)
The RMS Titanic set sail on its maiden, and only, voyage on April 10, 1912, hitting an iceberg at 23:40 on the 14th and sinking at 2:20 AM on the 15th. 2012 was the centenary of this event so no less than 41 legal tender coins were issue (though none circulating). This is not one of them, alas, but a cheap copy, I assume is intended to be based on the Canadian 50c
