Es werden sicher viele #Firmen dies gerne zulassen, da sie mehr Kontrolle erhoffen. Das sie selber diesbezüglich ausgehorcht werden, wird wahrscheinlich kaum wahrgenommen oder per "nichts zu verbergen" sich fein geredet.

🧵 …der oben verlinkten Artikel erscheint mir als Ablenkung von der eingebauten KI in Microsoft Produkten im allgemeinen. Wie immer ist Microsoft mMn alles andere als Vertrauenswürdig, auch wenn ihre Software sehr populär genutzt wird.

Gibt es den #Datenschutz, die #DSGVO oder einen Hauch von #Datensicherheit eigentlich noch? Eine Frage, die mir seit Tagen im Kopf herumgeistert, weil: #Niedersachsen wird Vorreiter bei der Nutzung von Microsoft Teams in der Landesverwaltung (DSGVO-konform natürlich 😉) "Die Ergebnisse der intensiven Verhandlungen des Landes Niedersachsen mit #Microsoft dienen damit als Blaupause für die Nutzung von #Teams in der öffentlichen Verwaltung", so Innenstaatssekretär Manke.
Niedersachsen setzt nun auf Microsoft Teams in der Landesverwaltung. Zitat: "Maßgeblich für die DSGVO-Konformität von Teams war die Entscheidung von Microsoft, die Daten in Europa zu speichern und zu verarbeiten („EU-Boundary“)."

D., der nicht glaubt, dass die größeren Kritikpunkte komplett unbekannt waren. D. h. irgendwas muss wichtiger als Compliance gewesen sein. "Günstiger Preis" oder "Weil es doch alle haben. Z. B. Niedersachsen." (Moment! Rechtsstaatliches Handeln zweitrangig? Beim Staat?!?)
A particular first-world UI annoyance is context menus which do not appear at once but gradually fill with entries, moving around entries which had already appeared. #teams i am looking at you
I was about to do something important and time-sensitive but then I got a #Teams notification despite both Teams and notifications being off and now I'm just wandering the dusty streets of the internet with a vague sense of loss
@mikemathia@dave The whole Microsoft suite is bananas. You can’t login with at MS account because it’s a different kind. You can share that documents with your colleagues but no way can they have edit capabilities. Share with randos? Sure do they want edit capabilities? It’s truly mad.
In the past, I've used Matrix/element, and I can't say how many times better it worked. About 1.5 years ago, we decided migrate to MS 365 and I find it a pita.
Does anybody have a clue about the status of Teams<->Matrix integration? I remember, there were numerous attempts to do this using a bridge/puppet, but at least AFAIK that didn't work too well.
What is the status of this? Any insights appreciated 😎
@riaschissl Teams is a rough tool for sure. Given the resources MS has it's bewildering. Matrix is on my "to get around to check out" list; biggest issue will be good iOS and Android apps.
