YES! 💉😷 “#FDA gave the green light to updated #Covid-19 #vaccine booster shots from #Moderna and #Pfizer/BioNTech. The updated vaccines are each approved for people 12 and older and are authorized under emergency use for individuals 6 months through 11 years old. As part of the FDA’s update, the original bivalent Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccines are no longer authorized for use in the US” 1/...
@GottaLaff Yay!!! I was hoping you would but didn’t want to push lol. I hope you like it! If you have any questions about features or customizations, just ask in a post and tag #MonaApp…there’s a really helpful online community of users here. :)
Listen. Just for those Apple app authors crowing about how exciting #iOS17 is and how they’re starting to code for that. Even #iOS16. Just understand that iPad Air 2’s, and god knows how many other “legacy” devices that actually still work perfectly fine, CANNOT be updated beyond 15.7.9. I have my Air 2 open and on a stand with #Trello right now, and THANKFULLY #MonaApp also still runs on it as do many of the other apps I use. But please, PLEASE - especially if your app just does text or checkboxes or notifications, right - because you’ve been able to manipulate that stuff since iOS1 or so - PLEASE don’t make your app depend on minimum iOS16 or 17. Mona didn’t. Follow their lead.
People on older devices don’t give a toss “what percentage of Apple users as a whole are using iOSx”. Believe it. The Air2 works fine, as does my iPhone13 Pro on 15.4.1.
Weird. In #MonaApp for Mac, if I press and hold PGUP in a column, it scrolls upward really slow. But if I tap PGUP multiple times it pages-up about ten times quicker.
I love being able to freely choose from a large plethora of well-written and well-designed #Mastodon clients. My current favorites are (order doesn't matter):
➡️ @mammoth: the only client allowing to view ALL posts from accounts, even from other instances. Great for discovering interesting profiles & content.
➡️ @IceCubesApp: great app and clear design language. For me the best designed app.
➡️ @ivory: robust & also well-designed. Comes with a #widget.
I absolutely LOVE the customization options of @MonaApp for iPhone. I can actually make it very close #MastodonBirdUI because I can pick the hex colors, change profile photos to circular, make breathing space more relaxed etc. Good job! #BirdUI#Apps#UI#MastodonApps#iPhone#iOS#Mastodon

Right. Help an ignoramus out. What’s the difference between Lemmy and Kbin? I’m using #Memmy for #Lemmy, and now #Artemis for #kbin. Load them up and lo and behold they show exactly the same posts? I was expecting completely different federated “galaxies”. Do I just.. use a single app now? I thought the services were different but hell, I’ve been plenty misguided in the past..
@RickRussell_CA Aha! That explains it. And yes, I did read something about Artemis being in TestFlight mode only until the “API is released”. For now I think I’ll use Memmy, it seems to be the most comprehensive and closest to Reddit functionality. I honestly hope that the author of #MonaApp one day decides to put together a lemmy client - Mona is one of the most polished client apps I’ve ever used on iPhone.
I’ve posted this defect to #Memmy twice if not thrice, and now I see #Artemis doing it too. How hard is it to just use line-height: auto; or at least make it user configurable. Completely triggers me.
Great that the apps are free but good god, bring on the competitors. I’m glad as hell that Reddit and Apollo still work. You heard me - Apollo still works, long as your phone is jailbroken. #monaapp is still the gold standard with fedi-apps, hoping other apps will get just as polished one day.
@gbhnews I am using and liking @MonaApp. Features that I appreciate I haven't found elsewhere are timeline position sync across devices (it runs on my iPhone, iPad, and M1 mac equally well) and the fact you can adjust and fiddle with a lot of config options.
I have a few requests like how it's #muting works only in the app itself (i.e, #MonaApp muting isn't aligned with the web app muting), which is nonsensical to me. I'd also like to see more sorting options everywhere. Like sorting of those I follow. Sorting of my followed hashtags, etc. In addition to sorting those types of lists, the ability to search them would also be appreciated.
The #MonaApp is always awesome. I just updated it for my Mac, and it works like a dream. Another thing I really love is that there is always update notes with every update. That is how it should be. If I’m going to update something, and it doesn’t have notes then it’s annoying and confusing. How do I know if something good was added or removed.
@MonaApp Question. When I scroll through my posts in my profile to see my media, the application just closes for no apparent reason. This happens after about 40-50 posts. Is this a known bug?
The sending of a crash report is unfortunately not possible. #monaapp#iphone#iOS
Good news! Mona will be a one-time purchase app, and will be available on App Store this Spring:
Free trial: 14-day full-feature access for free, with no recurring fee.
Mona Essential: full-feature access on a single platform (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) for 10 USD.
Mona Extra: full-feature access on 3 platforms (iPhone, iPad, and Mac), and supports family sharing. Mona users can upgrade from Essential to Extra for 7 USD.
If you have purchased Spring or Spring mini, Mona Extra will be just 9 USD.
@MonaApp#MonaApp is still the best #Mastodon client. It works great for me on iPhone but it‘s even better on iPad. No cluttered interface, very good functions, absolute fair price. Go get it.
