This time I'm comparing the story structure of Mario Wonder with The Simpsons. Specifically looking at plot beats and how they work, hoping to understand how to say more with less.
Huh, #mariowonder is The Final Test Wonder Gauntlet really the "super extra hard final level"? Just beat it first try, granted with delightful cooperation of two other players in online mode. No I'm not doing it without it lol
Also did anyone else notice it's #SMW again and we're back to alt paths and a "star world"?
The Bowser stages in Mario Wonder are incredible. The Bowser stages are always the best but Wonder goes to the very next level, the developers just did whatever they wanted. #nintendoswitch#mariowonder
The "break time" stages might be my favorite addition to #mariowonder, that plus the difficulty marker is very nice.
I usually hit this in puzzle games, but when you feel stuck and there's just nothing you can do but this one, INFURIATING puzzle level? Yeah I usually just quit.
I am so bummed out I could not get Super Mario Bros Wonder, but I am beyond excited for Super Mario RPG. In the meantime, have 'em wonky ass Nintendo doodles
Shoutouts to the guy at #nintendo with an inflation fetish who just finally convinced Nintendo to put it in a second new #mario game for the first time in 33 years
This game is sooo good; the platforming action scales pretty well. You can chill with the kids or play in very challenging stages. The level of detail in each one is above and beyond, too. They put a lot of love into the entire experience.
Mario Wonder is mindblowingly fantastic. I'm still pretty early in the game, but so far it feels like a combination of all of the best Mario games. Nintendo is killing it this year.
