OK folks, I think the eye will "fill in" the low-contrast beginning of this mosaic section...
Another 1/2 of the diamond shape to go. If sections at the top are a bit too light when I can spread the whole thing out and really see, I think adding a few duplicate stitches in a high contrast shade will respove it.
Whew! Really did not want to frog the whole thing!!
Here we go, completed the first section of mosaic on Stephen West's Mosaic Musings shawl. Finally!
Spent most of the week knitting, tearing out, knitting again, switching needles, switching projects, more knitting and unknitting. So POW! Finally hitting on all cylinders.
Not sure about proceeding with the #Geogradient shawl MKAL, I'm having a hard time getting back in the swing of things. We'll see!

Check out Genesis, a pretty darn magnificent double-knit shawl from Nathan Taylor. He provides 40+ pages of instructions plus videos. Kind of like taking a class.
I wondered how heavy Genesis is. I did the maths and it's about 6 pounds... which is not nothin'. Fingering weight yarn, many yards.

This is a shawl for my dear friend and medical advocate, Sazi. She chose the pattern - Tinsmith, based on the pressed tim patterns of a century ago. Yarn is Shibui Cima and Tweed Silk Cloud, both in caper.
This now goes to the blocking pile, and I'm on to #s three and four. 🥳🧶🌟💞
Binding off in picot, then setting aside to complete knitting on other 2 WIPs, both close to done.
Final step? Do a Block-O-Rama of all the knitted items (6-8?), including an aggressive stretching of this green picot border, which currently looks like a tangled mess. Then, casting on something new!🥰
Blocking time for my second #FallFinishAlong#FallFinishAlong_FOs! Greemy booties for my coworker who requested rainbows for her baby who’s due in November.

I looked at this beauty (the jumper, not the man (though he is yummy too)) from Bergere de France.
But they have a problem on their site with pdf downloads and I couldn't get it. So I emailed them to find out how I could buy it, and they sent it to me for free!!! It has actually improved my generally low opinion our current age, that a big company would do such a generous thing.
Hello Knitterati ~ Been AWOL bc am in hospital, 3rd time. Infection not gone, took 24 hours to flare, bad. This stuff is scary. MASSIVE antibiotics.
Just got pain meds after 8+ hour wait. In excruciating pain but relief soon. Grateful 2b alive.

The coral is bamboo-linen in DK weight. The white is 100% lace weight linen. It's creating this lovely open, airy fabric, perfect for a "cooling shawl." Here are shots, back and front. A happy surprise, this one!

Here's what I'm working on now, the #PsychedelicaKAL that several of us are doing right now. Mine is in bamboo and linen on a tighter gauge than pattern calls for (which is aran).
