I've two online groups of friends - the great people here in the fediverse and my fiberarts community on #ravelry (of course there's some overlap between those two).
And then there's my offline community in and around #Karlsruhe - there are a variety of regular meetings going on.
Then there's of course my family - my daughter and my sister-in-law. The latter is the one I visit the Wollmeise store.
Binding off in picot, then setting aside to complete knitting on other 2 WIPs, both close to done.
Final step? Do a Block-O-Rama of all the knitted items (6-8?), including an aggressive stretching of this green picot border, which currently looks like a tangled mess. Then, casting on something new!🥰
@yazzea@knitting I like to reference my queue on #Ravelry, and usually have thoughts about the projects there. I try to keep the queue list under 20. When the time comes I tend to pick from there. It's a kind of "hot list." I also like to leave room for group KALs and MKALs, like the upcoming Stephen West #GeogradientMKAL which I'm definitely doing!
New #yarn rocked up earlier than I expected!! I’ve already started on the #blanket, and I’m keen to spend tonight watching TV and #knitting :blobcataww:
Maybe after this one I’ll try my hand at something with cabling (sweater or blanket). Or try modifying a pattern to make it larger… I find a lot of the blanket patterns a bit small for what I want.
Desperately, desperately, I want Ravelry for sewing. MOSTLY, I want a good way to stash my fabrics somewhere digital.
I have a lot of fabric that was purchased for projects I'm not going to make anymore. My style has shifted but the fabrics would still potentially work. I just... don't fully know what and how much I have.
I guess I could create a notions thing, or obsidian locker, or a google album or something.
Behold my love and their new dress, made by my own two hands as an early/the sentiment of a wedding gift. ✨
I did this using a pattern that I bought on #Ravelry. I had to do some improvising because it was seemingly not written with quite my girlfriend's height in mind... aaand I may have also miss-measured the gauge? Whatever the case, I used the pattern as a guide and am so so so so proud of how it turned out. My beautiful fiancée looks dazzling in it, and I will absolutely be making more clothes with lightweight cotten yarn in the future.
This is how much #knitting progress I’ve made on Day 1. I’m hoping to finish this in less than a week to have a second top to take with me on vacation. 🤞🏻
I’m going to look so cute in like ten years when I finally get to wear this top that I’m #knitting. My hands are wrecked from using cotton yarn. How do people do this? #memadewardrobe#ravelry@knitting
Very pleased with how this Sandnes Garn Line yarn is working up for the #FayeSummerTop. The pattern (in the background) requires so much attention though. I’m using highlighter to track my progress even mid row in case my attention wavers for even a moment :psyduck_sweat: wish me luck! #knitting#ravelry

Forgot to show off my first finished #Knitting project! This sweater is the Whispers pattern by Les Garçons on #Ravelry, using 8 ply (DK) wool from #BendigoWoollenMills the colour is 648 Mallard.
It took me 3-4 months to finish, and I’m pretty happy with it, though it does billow a bit at the waist. It’s comfy and warm.
My next project will be a blanket in he colour ‘Fern’ which is a much lighter, green colour.
