Phone night shot passing Consultation lake and Mt Irvine (it hid the full moon until Trail Camp). Before there was enough reflection to just use the red headlamp. Turned it off here and climbed the rest without a light including the snow chute which was in moon shadow. No wind, surreal quiet.
Tuesday evening was a beautiful evening to get out and see the rise of the Full Pink Moon. I chose to go to Boston to photograph it rising next to the Boston University Center for Computing & Data Sciences. It was stunning!
Two views of the Worm Moon (March' s full moon). First is actually reflected into my view of downtown skyline. Second was taken through a screen giving it that Star of Jerusalem look. #spring#Moon#FullMoon#Montreal#photography
I've been capturing solar and lunar images with my 72mm refractor, but I figured I'd give the Dobsonian a go, since it has more focal length (1200mm vs. 420mm). I kept it simple to start - I connected my DSLR directly to the scope, framed up the moon on the edge of the field, and hit record until the moon drifted close to the edge of the frame. I re-framed and repeated several times. (Processing details in thread)
