Some incredible stuff from various fan communities out there these days. Mario Builder 64 is essentially a Mario Maker type game for Super Mario 64 that even allows you to download levels other people have made.
So many really talented folks out there, I hope it doesn't die an early cease-and-desist death from Big N.
I see with RetroArch on iOS, the “#emulation is illegal” rubbish has clawed its way back into the daylight. Emulators are legal. Yes, many files people load into them may not be legit but that doesn’t make the tech itself illegal any more than it makes e-readers, music players and video players illegal.
Maybe people should concentrate more on encouraging publishers to provide legal routes to play (and buy) old games than spreading rubbish about emulators.
A few more notes about video games and VoiceOver Recognition: the story mode of Blazblue reads very well with screen recognition, even better than Windows OCR! In some games, when menus have descriptions, you can tell which menu item you're on by the description of the item at the bottom. With the Provinence app, audio latency is amazingly low with my AirPods Pro 2. So, playing games using those is really, really amazing! No game mode needed! I can't wait for more blind people to get into this! #accessibility#blind#gaming#Provinence#iOS#RetroGames#emulation#emulators
In the original Snatcher game on the PC88 youl'll see a logo that 'closely' resembles Konami, but wih the name "Joy Division". Pretty sure Hideo Kojima knew this band.
I have been replaying Grandia on the Miyoo Mini plus for the #VideoGameClub and have been really enjoying it. I feel it looks better on the smaller screen and I like that I can overclock it as well. #VGCMay2024#Grandia#Emulation
