AMLO is doing little, thankfully WC Kitchen is in #Acapulco:

Even hotels that can operate don't have tourists *not visiting now, & many homes & bus' left -have no power or water:

Rebuilding the hotel INFRA — 80% of it destroyed or damaged -may take years -poses an existential challenge -a city: dependent on tourism. "We have no water or power,” said Olivares -runs a budget hotel. Some crew members lost their lives or went missing trying to save the yachts -many sank.

Many still missing after hurricane in . Figure could go above 100 people. Many people still struggling with the damage.

The Mexican president says „It wasn't that bad for us because when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, there were 2,000 deaths,"

What a heartless statement.

This is insane!

According to The Washington Post, a #weather station near #Acapulco recorded a wind gust of 205 mph during the landfall of Category 5 Hurricane Otis, which is one of the highest ever observed in the world.

#Otis is the strongest #hurricane on record to strike the west coast of Mexico.

For the record, the highest ever recorded wind gust was measured on Barrow Island, Australia, in 1996, with a speed of 253 mph.
