"Dr. King said that in the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. Sadly, medically vulnerable people are under no illusion that the Democrats are any kind of friend. But their silence is surely loud and clear." https://www.thegauntlet.news/p/biden-cdc-silent-as-north-carolina
@taylorlorenz I totally agree with the person that said it's shameful to use a quote from Dr. King to try to blame President Biden for something a bunch of Repukkklifucks in North Carolina are doing.
Where is your head?
@taylorlorenz They could have even been neutral about it, but also encourage and accept it:
“My fellow Americans, you won’t be forced to wear a mask, but these masks work well to help transmission of respiratory viruses. Let’s give thanks and support to the people who are willing to wear them to protect us all, especially our friends who work 30-40 hours per week as grocery store cashiers"
2 sentences. any time. press gaggle before helicopter or AF1 😞
@Grant_M@taylorlorenz @TonyStark posted a story on how the fossil fuel industry learned from the Kremlin toolkit how effective it is to turn factions on the left side of the aisle against each other.
The Kremlin long ago learned that the Democratic Party is their biggest threat and have for years worked their dark magic making us fight ourselves and basically turning the word Democrat into a cuss word for both sides of the aisle.
Attacking Democrats is Americans favorite pastime.
@TonyStark@Grant_M
Biden's covid policy like tariffs and Israel are so easy for the political technologists to use to split the anti-GOP coalition because they are politically fraught issues that someone with a narrow majority in Congress that includes people like Manchin and Sinema along with a hostile SCOTUS has to make some major compromises in order to make any progress.
@Tengrain@GreenFire@Grant_M Like the North Carolina Republicans don’t go out and do anything bad on their own. Always the Dems did it.
Same thing as my neighbor who thinks 4 EVs plugged in to charge in the same block will cause a massive power “storm.” Same mentality: not living in reality.
@Tengrain@GreenFire@Grant_M Thanks. I don’t know if it does anything but yikes. Another example of people taking on subjects they’re not remotely qualified to.
Looks like @taylorlorenz has succumbed to Murc's Law.
"These journalists seem to believe (perhaps unconsciously) that #Republicans have so little control over their own behavior that they cannot be held accountable for their own actions.
So, instead of blaming Republicans for the political difficulties they cause, they blame #Democrats for failing to control Republicans’ bad behavior."
