Back in the 90s, when I was 11, I had a conversation on Usenet with this dude called Todd Howard, who said he wanted to make a space RPG. I am 41. Today, it arrived.
Image descriptions (you may be able to edit to add): white box containing a dark star-speckled card or booklet that says Starfield, I believe, on the cover. Beneath that is a white box with a red handle labeled “PULL” & other markings reading “Property of Constellation” & “This side up.” Contained within is a wristband & watch-like device as well as an embroidered mission patch with the beautifully designed logo looking like a planet & sky.
@GossiTheDog@selfagency £250 via Game! I love the look of the watch packaging and the whole feel of it, although sadly I know little of the game itself because I’m PS5/Switch and not Xbox. Can only hope it gets released on other platforms in future as it sounds cool. Though the game is an 18 rating? Curious.
@GossiTheDog haha, for like twenty minutes I was thinking this was some slick TTRPG, like why haven’t I heard about this?!?! Because it’s a video game, silly me, cool packaging though. I need coffee.
@torspedia@GossiTheDog numerous people we are now back on #usenet our collective just made a new peer, and are peering with other new and older peers, and we all block google at server level or client level 99% of spam is gone this way. There is now a #gemini group and soon a #golang#go group.
