I rarely see a sunset, I face the opposite way and see those awesome sunrises. But I had a chance tonight, so I took more than one. Tomorrow is going to be a hellish day, with heavy rain.
#Sunset ... I didn't take my digital camera. Too much #beach, sand in my water walkers, knee deep in tepid #ocean, watching hermit crabs, as we waded. And we walked: 10 kms roads, 5 km of woods, and 3 km on 5 Beaches.
I'm tired, but we were fortunate to not have rain. Until tomorrow.
Wanted to see as much as we could before dark.
The sky is purple now, well past sunset, still entertaining us.
@MaJ1 I'm not at home, and it's difficult to upload pictures and videos from my phone. So there's a lot more, of course, and at home from other trips I have extensive video of hermit crabs in groups. Another creature we don't see much of around where I live. The coast is very different, sand on one side, silt on another, and rock everywhere else. You can't rake scallops on a rocky bottom. Most fishermen on the rocky bottom fish lobster.
@KissAnne I've eating crab legs, but big crabs you know, King crabs, snow crabs. These are the size of a coin, crawling inside a snail shell to steal. They would be like eating a spider. So not so much interest in being part of our diet LOL
@MaJ1 good morning. Because I didn't want to carry my digital camera and tripod for 15 mile walk, I only had my phone camera as sunset approached. It's a cheap phone, but it didn't disappoint me at sunset
@canusfeminacanis we could drive home tonight, but I don't drive nights. We came here to do some hiking and beaching and get the maximum out of the two nice days. But there's weather warnings tomorrow, I'm driving the big rig home. We take the RV camper van, so we can take the cats and stay overnight. We'll have to hoof it ahead of the weather in the morning
@canusfeminacanis actually pretty good, we have given them the entire upper birth, with multiple litter boxes stinking up the place LOL and designated feeding areas to keep them from fighting over. Mostly they track litter around. We travel always with the cats, and anytime you have to stay overnight, no hotels allow cats. Hence why we travel with an RV. Because we have cats. We condition them to treat this like the house that vibrates sometimes
@canusfeminacanis it's not here yet, we're trying to beat it. It's already started in the southwest part of the province with high rain. You don't want to drive a motorhome in the rain. It's hard enough to see in the daytime. Safer to pull over and ride it out. But it's only an hour two drive, and if it takes an hour for the storm to move to the central part of the province, will be home before it hits us. That's the plan. We had really good weather for the days we were here. Very lucky
@canusfeminacanis thank you for the correction, I hate phones. I've never learned to text or type with the phone. And when I tell it that I dislike you autocorrect you dirty shirt I don't expect them to change what I intended to type. But it does it all the time, I do quite good on the keyboard
There was some wind gusts and downpours unrelated to the storm, but one of the gusts peeled the rubber trim and it flap until we got back. My wife was exhausted, even though she got up early and had a good sleep, we walked 15 km yesterday so she's still sleeping in the RV while I unpacked and brought the cats in and I'm listening to some music and relaxing. She may be out there alone if it starts the thunder shower here
@jeanettepizzurro we did some distance. We were only walking the beach I didn't take any money or anything like that. And then after we got 2 mi away we saw an ice cream place. too bad I didn't have money, but we saw a wood trail and walked a few miles of that, then back to one of five beaches, and walk each of them, and then went back and got money and returned the five miles to get ice cream. We're kind of tired now. And I was swimming today, of course in a pool, heated 😉
@Rasta
Wow that’s some awesome exercise! I do love beach walking. It seems you walk so far before you notice how far you’ve walked. Hopefully some good sleep tonight.
@jeanettepizzurro probably leg cramps. We've got to try to beat the storm home. Can't drive this in a heavy thunderstorm. But it's coming from the west, might be noon before we see it.
Unplug and hit the road at 8
