ok uh... what do I do when git tries to gaslight me? These windows both show the same repository, but on two different machines. They are both up to date and checked out to the same commit on the same branch. They should have the same files, right?

Wrong! Somehow, this file has different contents between the computers. Am I hallucinating? What is happening???? ​:aqua_aaa:​

Update: I figured it out! One of the repositories had an extra remote defined, and it was pointing to a random old fork. Guess which remote was set as upstream for the stable branch? ​:neofox_woozy:​

git log would tell you more about the sequence of commits on that file.

How sure are you that this is the same project? The picture mentioned calckey and Sharkey.

Ok. Then the best guess I have at the moment is to check the upstream in each working directory.

The information in the picture isn't enough to check that stable and origin mean the same things in each directory.

-Cut taxes more for the rich
-Defund the IRS so the rich can cheat
-End student loan forgiveness
-End overtime rules
-Slash school lunches
-Allow child labor

I was thinking about how Elon Musk was once seen as a likeable and progressive person and now he's... Well, neither of those things. I think the one thing we forget is that Musk got rid of his PR department entirely. So what we had before was curated information ABOUT Musk. With the PR team gone, now we have uncurated information FROM Musk.

It stands to reason that any other billionaire who seems likeable has mastered the art of shutting the fuck up and letting someone else curate their image, as opposed to Musk — who really is telling us how he is, instead of letting someone else do it for him.

That's a good point. It's also the skill Nancy Pelosi lacked. She was unarguably accomplished at Politics outside the public eye.

I've never seen a press conference that needed professional PR support more than any time she chose to speak in front of cameras, however.

As speaker of the house she needed to hire a press agent and stop shooting herself in the foot every time.

My idea was to nationalize the plane fleet instead. Let airlines lease planes from the national owner who defines standards for every plane that is purchased.

Airplane manufacturers who can't meet the requirements should be allowed to fail.
