Once again charmed by #TheMarvels. Sat next to a guy who hilariously identified [character] as "that person from Men in Black." He redeemed himself by being volubly mad after the show that the internet was unfair to this fun, funny, smart movie and promising me he'd tell everyone he knows.

Went to a Whole Foods clone store called New Seasons Market and this clone especially I would describe as a "well-to-do-hipster cultural exploitation price gouging business." Our usual supermarket has aisles of organic products, and specialty products, like this place (which is part of a chain) and those same products, brand and all, are half the prices they are in New Seasons. The place has a sort of progressive health vibe--and blithely sells racks of chocolates with high lead-content.

Reading this superb Andscape (still dislike the name! Still a great source for profiles!) piece on the excellent Mia Fishel. It reprints all of the dumb things Andonovski said about her and about Liga MX Femenil, and whew, the racism isn't obvious at all, nope.

ANYWAY, Emma Hayes wasn't a fool about Fishel, and that's working out OK so far!
