Biked by Britannia Beach today with 2 fire trucks, 5 cop cars and 3 paramedic vehicles all lights and sirens blaring. Apparently a neighbourhood kid is in critical condition after presumably being found unresponsive in the water. Fuck I hate this. It’s so common and yet so easy to avoid and I’ll stake my claim that the beach is one area where phones should just be banned. It takes no time for shit like this to happen with aspirated water in the lungs #ottawa #drowning #kids

@jleiper I'll never understand how people can't be seen as serious in nice shorts. If women can wear skirts, men should be able to wear shorts and t-shirts. And then we'd also fix the AC problem in offices where men are hot, and women freeze.

Ms. Elizabeth May: Madam Speaker, when we adopted by unanimous consent that we could meet until midnight, I did not put on the record, but I would like to now, that I think there should be nursing stations available for those of us who work midnight, night after night, and there should be very available places for at least quick naps to be able to continue our work. We do get elected to work. We work hard, but we should not put our lives at risk.
