I don’t know anything about , but am hoping you folks can help me out. What is a good place to start in the under $500 (preferably less), open source, 3d printing realm? I want to make some toys, functional and precise replacement pieces when fixing things, mostly consumer electronics, and I want to be able to set it up with ease.

My insurance company (Kaiser) says that from Jan 1-Feb 2 of this year, I'm showing as having a secondary insurance of "WorkersCompensation". I have no idea what this is or why it would be there; I'm a self-employed student and have been for the past 3 years. They can't tell me anything else about it because it seems like it's not through them

....Is this some scam or something? 🤔

Today was rough. I did not get out of bed till 1, I recorded and edited a video for TikTok that I then immediately erased in error, my child had a meltdown over the specifics of what video game we would play together, I setup but did not paint the bathroom I planned to finish...

All that said, I did read Jacobin Magazine for two hours in the sun and it was warm enough to take my shirt off and get a little sweaty just sitting there. This really smoothed out all the other problems.

@mivox - So frustrating. I made a great video on who is liable to fall for scams (spoiler: It is anybody who is caught at the right time) and had edited the captions and made the post. Then I closed the app as it was uploading 🤦🏽‍♀️

The US is losing all of its unearned reputation as a benevolent spreader of democracy. Isael is becoming a pariah state and the US will stand by her, providing bombs and cash, making sure Isael can protect her self until the bitter end. It is disgusting.

Powering through the first few seasons For All Mankind I found myself crying all the time. It was cathartic. The ups and downs of joy and desperation. I took a break from the series but just now finished season 3. I steeled myself this time; but that did not stop me from bawling during the last couple of episodes. #ForAllMankind is top tier #scifi television and I can’t recommend it enough.

    My wife and I have been discussing what it would look like to start an #IntentionalCommunity / #cohousing project here in the #SalishSea area (US side). There are existing communities that I am looking forward to visiting, but we want to focus our efforts with folks who are #Covid cautious right now.     @J12t I have never really seen Taibbi as an ally of Musk, but he was certainly riding the benefits of being in his good graces. The twitter files had some interesting info in them and Taibbi using Musk as a resource made sense. Musk just can’t help but burn all his bridges.

    I am not promoter of the NYTimes in general, but this opinion video they just put out about filing is on point.

    Let this serve as my annual reminder that is not your friend and that is a scam. The US tax filing system is broken and we should not be playing guessing games with the IRS every tax season.

    I called and left messages and emailed Senator Murray (D-WA) since the beginning of the genocide in Palestine, asking her to support a . She has been completely absent on providing a response to me and the thousands of her constituents who have demanded the same thing. She is usually quick to respond on any issue you would reach out on. Turns out when you accept over $680k from it is easy to deny Palestinian suffering.
