My insurance company (Kaiser) says that from Jan 1-Feb 2 of this year, I'm showing as having a secondary insurance of "WorkersCompensation". I have no idea what this is or why it would be there; I'm a self-employed student and have been for the past 3 years. They can't tell me anything else about it because it seems like it's not through them

....Is this some scam or something? 🤔

@jonobie dealing with insurance feels can be a full time job. They really know how to pull some nonsense to waste your time. Good luck 🍀.

Meanwhile, Kaiser pharmacy is telling me I have "alternate insurance" currently, so they can't bill for my medication.

...While Kaiser member benefits is telling me I'm not under any insurance beyond theirs.

I'm at a total loss as to how to fix this and am starting to feel very angry and very flustered.

@jonobie
Seems like a left hand/right hand problem.

If it were me, I'd get Member Benefits to fix the problem under the following rationale:

Member Benefits has the version of reality where you actually receive your benefits. You want MB to impose this reality on the other parts of the Kaiser system.

I would repeatedly call Member Benefits and argue "I am not receiving the benefits I am entitled to, please fix this"
