Short walk in the park because it's barely mid-morning and already mid 30Cs. Looks like someone's all set up to have their wedding in the historic band rotunda. Not convinced the guests' white umbrellas are going to cut the heat. All looks beautifully set up though.

Ordered a discounted compost bin and a worm farm from a retailer under a council program thinking the discount was per householder (so one for me, one for mum) not per household. Put in for it then saw it in the rules.

Now feeling guilty! Like i'm the scammiest scammer. Doing it for the environment though - so if anything i'm an accidental eco-scammer. That's like almost a superhero. 😂

Hope we still get one of them.

This is the thing. Feel really silly because it says one per household twice and very clearly right up front. But i skipped over that completely. It's a really great offer. So pleased council are doing it.

I really have to clear some cupboard space, so decided to use up some of the leftover wool on a Fair isle jumper for one of the forthcoming Feb/ March babies before I buy any more wool (which I inevitably will, of course). Video of tree reflections in the water, with the water surface trembling a little, clear enough that each leaf shape is visible in the water. It is a tiny shallow creek bordered by rocks. Sounds are birds cheeping and squawking.

Busy morning coming up. Hope to squeeze a walk in before heading out to pick up mum's lovely hairdresser and bring her back to do mum's hair. Then take her back again. She can't drive for health reasons at the moment.

Mum is always happy with how she does mum's hair. And feels really comfortable with her. She's very kind to do it on her day off (mobile hairdressing not part of her thing).

Had another person come out to give me a quote on blinds. She was due at 1pm. Hadn't heard anything so rang at 1.20pm. Said she was 8 mins out. Still no show by 1.50pm. So rang again - she was just pulling up outside the door. Hopeless!
