@Karstan meanwhile WWeek just reported that more people left OR in 2022 than moved here for the first time since the '80s. On the list of top problems facing the city, "bikes riding in front of hotels makes millionaires sad" doesn't crack the top 50, & it's shameful that this is a "problem" that they're trying to "solve".

It's both a challenging & an exciting time to be living in #Portland. I have been around long enough to watch the motto "The City That Works" erode from reality to a sad joke, but I'm jazzed that we chose to totally overhaul our local government.
