As you move up through the tower, you experience that the distance between the ramps changes until you reach the viewing platform 140 meters above sea level, where you have a 360 degree view of the landscape. The main construction is made of maintenance-free corten steel, and the ramp is made of local South Zealand oak.

On a clear day you can see all the way to Copenhagen and Malmö, more than 50 kilometers away.

The Forest Tower has won several architecture awards.

The Dartmouth Steam Railway is a 10.8 km heritage railway on the former Great Western Railway branch line between Paignton and Kingswear in Devon, England.

Much of the railway's business is from summer tourists who travel to Kingswear, where the Dartmouth Passenger Ferry takes them across the River Dart to Dartmouth.

7820 is a British Railways locomotive, part of the Manor Class. It is one of nine locomotives preserved from the class.

This is one of the first bird photos I have taken. And I am still today very proud of it!

The photo of the kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) is taken 11 meters up in a tree.

The kestrel is the most widespread and often most abundant of European birds of prey. It belongs to the falcon family Falconidae.

A few words about the breakfast should also be written: It is a European Green Lizard (Lacerta viridian).

Finally back at Skjoldenæsholm Tram Museum, I jumped off one of the trams on a station in the forrest, and got some photos with beautiful light coming through the trees.

These two yellow trams were operating in Copenhagen back in the days when the city had trams!

We visited #Skovtårnet, a 45m high tower in the middle of #Gisselfeld's forests.

Each time you have walked one round in one of the 12 circles towards the top, you discover that nature around you changes along with the architecture. Up, up, up until you reach the center of the lookout tower, where the hourglass structure is laced together so tightly that you can touch three beech trees growing in the center of the tower. Finally, you step out onto the viewing platform 140 meters above sea level.

Two old red buses

A visit to the London Transport Museum comes highly recommended. There you can explore London's history and its transport system over the last 200 years.

Just be aware that the museum in Covent Garden only contains a few of the Museum's items, and that a Museum Depot is located in Acton, west London, holds the majority of the Museum's collections.

Tulledagen er her igjen! En ny nasjonal transportplan lanseres. Jippi! En plan for de neste 12 årene som vi bare kan tro på for de neste 3-4 årene.

Jeg tror at transportplanen som lanseres i dag fordeler mer til jernbane enn foregående, med bygging av dobbeltspor (til Hamar og mellom Råde og Fredrikstad) og elektrifisering. Men hvor er Ringeriksbanen og en meget tiltrengt modernisering av Sørlandsbanen (og sammenkobling med Vestfoldbanen)?
