Rich isn't the same as comfortable and secure, but that's sometimes what you have to settle for.

@RickiTarr Also-it seems that rich people are assumed to be smarter than the rest of us, thus they lie to us about 'money can't buy you happiness' thus they perpetuate the myth that being poor is better which is an absolute lie. They just want to be the only ones who have money. It wouldn't be quite as select a club if EVERYONE was rich, would it? You couldn't look down on others if they were rich, could you?

@ianRobinson @mmiasma @OrionKidder @Professor_Stevens Thank you for that link! Confirms what I've known about in the past. But I agree it's pretty unsettling to have a SC that 'can do anything they damn well want because they want to." There used to be rules but this court does not abide by them.

@msquebanh I had never heard of this, before. I was under the impression that the sex workers were actually chatting with the subscribers, but I can understand the greed factor kicked in. Sex sells and there's always some guy making like a pimp for it.

How much alone time vs socializing do you need?

For me there are a few people who are usually equalizing, and I can just be around them, so I won't count that. But generally, I find about 3 times a week, I'm game for socializing. A day in between to rest is usually nice, but the larger the gathering or if we go somewhere particularly noisy or I'm meeting new people that involves more effort, and my social battery empties sooner. I'm very curious where everyone else falls on this!

@RickiTarr By the nature of my former job, I did socializing every time I went to work, and thus got more than my fair share of too much.
My next door neighbor and I are friendly, but I don't go out of my way to socialize-if someone asks me to a social event, I might go, but I don't drive and everyone lives a bit from me.
Once a week I'm good for socializing but it's hard otherwise. I generally don't go out of my way to do it. I'm a loner by nature.

At some point, my purse became a walking pharmacy. Stomach upset, got a headache? I have you covered. Need bug spray or sunscreen, what about some lotion or hand sanitizer? I've got a snack, and something to freshen your breath.

When I had surgery a few years ago, I had a weight limit of 10 pounds for 3 months! Hubs said he needed to weigh my purse to make sure I could safely carry it. I thought he was joking, turns out it weighed 17 pounds!

@RickiTarr It's bad for your shoulders to have such a heavy bag!
That's why I decided a long time ago to limit myself to a small hand wallet. That way I don't have the extra weight but I do have all the necessities. Women fall prey to the 'nurse/dispenser' for everyone else. Not necessary-unless you have kids, then it's a requirement.

John Roberts has a big, big problem on his hands-he's got the most corrupt court in the history of the Supreme Court and it is losing any credibility or importance it had by the rulings they're issuing.
This court has literally, "jumped the shark' and has no more importance to the United States. It is now irrelevant and unimportant.
He wants to change it, he'd going to have to order change. He's a coward if he does not.

@msquebanh Good point-many people consider one 'disabled' person to be the representative of all of them. I certainly wouldn't want to talk about my disability without a damn good reason. I live with it, others do not. Respect for this is so lacking.

@FaithinBones He's not a puppet, despite what everyone thinks. How do you think he got control of the RNC? By getting rid of everyone he didn't like, and replacing them with his own loyalists, and he's sucking the money out of it by the millions, leaving the RNC broke and helpless to stop him. His greed and rapacity has destroyed it. They won't like the results of this year's election.
