I am on the spectrum and learning how to manage my life better than I did when I didn't know I was.

I lean heavily left/progressive.

I love my past Bichoodles (Poochons) – Poppy, Lily (RIP) and Daisy (RIP) 💗

I wish people were more like dogs – or I just wish there were more dogs.

I believe the choice of ø and 0 here is a grave error and makes the text super annoying to read. I bet that in the 44 years since this book was published the author has come to regret that decision.

Red flags I've seen in job postings in the past hour:

  • One star out of 5 on Glassdoor, with 5 detailed ratings in total

  • "You need to be proficient with PHP 5"

  • "Don't worry about writing a cover letter or bringing us documents, our chatbot will ask you the relevant questions!"

  • "You need to know a JavaScript framework such as Laravel"

  • "You need to have TTD running through your veins because test coverage is all we care about!"

  • There's "AI" in the company name.

  • "We are a family"

@hakfoo @sterophonick nor were the original Apple ][ games, Castle Wolfenstein (1981) and Beyond Castle Wolfenstein (1984), the latter allowing you to plant a suitcase bomb in Hitler’s meeting. These days it feels like the game would have you have to sit down and hear him out to not be seen as provocative?

Turns out you don’t need to go to CCC to get Covid. All you need is to visit one friend who “just has a cold” - about the only social activity I had this month - my immune system is compromised and last time I ended up in hospital for 4 weeks. Covid is still no joke even-thought the governments try to tell you otherwise. Please take care of each other.

Today FORTH may seem like an obscure programming language, but almost every computer magazine I have from 1983/5 has articles and adverts for products. So I would class it the most mainstream niche language.

I’m devastated. The doctor spoke to me about Jennell’s lack of progress on regaining function of her hands and legs as well as her recurring infections. I keep reminding Jennell to fight. This really sucks.
