I run the Applesauce Fluxes image bot here – it's amazing how we can find beauty in just about anything.

I am on the spectrum and learning how to manage my life better than I did when I didn't know I was.

I lean heavily left/progressive.

I love my past Bichoodles (Poochons) – Poppy, Lily (RIP) and Daisy (RIP) 💗

I wish people were more like dogs – or I just wish there were more dogs.

🇸🇰 🇺🇦 Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico came out with another anti-Ukrainian public statement on Jan. 20, telling Slovak radio that he would block Ukraine's accession to NATO.

Fico is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Jan. 24.

I'm writing about the Mac's 40th anniversary and need some help with a basic question:

What specific tech products still in general use have been around for MORE than 40 years?

(So far, I can think of one obvious example and one less obvious one.)

@harrymccracken depends on ”general” – thermal printers (I love Silentypes) live on in POS terminals. ATMs, but they’re just specialised computers. Ethernet is definitely generally used, as are a few other implementations of other OSI model layers (e.g. TCP/IP). Laser printers (👋🏻 XEROX/PARC again). LCDs. Scanners. Home automation (👋🏻X10!). External hard drives.

I find it amazing that of all the “big” players from back in the day, Apple’s the only one left still making computers.

@ctb31 I have little adaptors that plug into old-style USB A ports and convert to C, happy to give you one. You can pick up when I’m at the office in your neck of the woods next Wednesday! 😊

I've been a little quiet lately; early on Saturday the 6th my little companion, my bun Moppet suddenly passed away while quietly loafed. I suspect a stroke or heart attack.

It's still very raw, and it felt a little too soon to find another bun, but not too soon for another bun to need me, so here's little nameless void for now. He's about 12 weeks old, extremely black from ears to paws to eyes and all in between.

He's got relaxation down pat already, I think we'll be OK.
