Nestled between the Brahms “Academic Festival Overture" and “Piano Concerto #2” at the symphony last night was a piece by Enno Poppe entitled “Fett” (Fat). Imagine 20 minutes of dissonant horror movie chords played without any accompanying melody. It was like listening to an anxious tortoise fuck a car alarm.

Comparing the piece's title to its content, one concludes that Poppe is afflicted with both serious fat phobia and possibly some auditory processing issues.

Miso garlic chicken wings and a cabbage slaw with a super simple miso dressing.

Both recipes from Just One Cookbook. No chopping (I buy bagged coleslaw mix), not a lot of standing (could technically do it sitting), and few dishes.

I'm going to be teaching a sewing class at the local trans community center soon, and we need machines for folks to use. I'm looking for about 8 machines. Old is okay.

I'm really glad that I can crochet with just using my hands/arms and don't have to move a lot.

Been dealing with a major pain and body ache flare the last few days which makes doing anything with movement hard. Even watching tv makes the migraine angy.

So some soft music and crochet from a printed pattern is how I've made it thru.

I would like this pain to stop now. I have other things I'd like to do!!

The tangram for the prototype of Dan’s tuxedo trousers is done. Time to cut!

Keen eyes might notice that #couture #sewing patterns have unusual features. Waistbands and flies are cut-on. Pocket bags serve as the inner w/b lining. And allowances are only 1/4” with extra 1/2” outlets on back to let out if needed. (Raw edges will be hand overcast in final garment.)

All done to reduce seams and bulk.

I made Greek chestnut and (Impossible) beef stew for lunch today. The ingredients (grated apple, prunes, pine nuts, tomatoes, raisins, ground meat, onions, and chestnuts) don’t exactly scream, “yum,” as a combo. But it is as delicious as all get out! #cooking

I'm procrastinating on sending a cost estimate for couture work. The person requesting, bless them, lives in a fancy neighborhood, drives a luxury car, and somehow thought custom couture was going to be the same price as discount retail.
