I'm writing a piece for Mother Jone about how Denver is subsidizing the price of buying an e-bike ...

... and what impact these programs (several other cities are doing 'em now too) have on urban mobility

I'd love to talk to someone in Denver who bought an ebike using Denver's subsidies

@clive Hi Clive! I used the rebate program to help with an ebike for my wife. (I already had one)

The sound of the 3D printer has been bothering wifey (and me). So I was like "let's enclose this puppy!", after pricing plexiglass and realizing "hoshit! that stuff ain't cheap" (nevermind figuring out all the other parts needed to hold it together + time to design + build + whatever) I decided to just do some research and buy one + some cheap butyl sound deadening mat + some cheap acoustic foam. Applied points from Amex and total cost was ~$100! less than the raw plexiglass!

@masukomi Upgrading my controller board really make my cr-10 a lot quieter. I still think I will do an enclosure because of worries about dust and off gassing. But you might look into a newer 32bit based board.

@masukomi I am a software engineer by training so I won't pretend to know anything about hardware other than, "more bits do gooder". My new controller uses these motor drivers:

Was it just a few months ago that Musk tweeted this same meme and then deleted it after being informed that the quote is from a neo-Nazi pedophile rather than Voltaire?

What changed in the interim that now makes him now quite happy to post it anyway?

It is rage bait.

He included the comment so that his brain-dead lackeys can say, "Well Ackchyually, Elon was making fun of the quote by saying you can't criticize children with Leukemia", thus, given the logic of the quote, they must rule over us.

Now everyone is outraged, and they can point a laugh at the people that didn't get his very obfuscated and not funny joke.
