The popular game development YouTuber Brackeys, previously known for #Unity3d tutorials, has returned to YouTube after a 3 year break.

Now with a focus on #OpenSource game development software such as @godotengine .

This is really good news for the Open Source Game Dev Community!
In his (first) new video he talks about #linux , #blender3d , #foss & the #godotengine / #godot . I'm very much looking forward to his upcoming videos!

Retro; the customizable clock widget is now available on Flathub in v2

What's new:

• 24/12h support (follows GNOME Settings)
• Energy usage optimizations
• Better support for round clocks
• Controls moved out of the way

What do you think of the floating header bar?

A screenshot of Retro. It shows a round clock with a transparent background and powered by white digital segments.

I was not aware GNOME supported desktop widgets. I'll need to try that out.
Or is that simply an ordinary application? If so, is it possible to set it to not just open automatically, but also always be in the same location?

Anyone still think those one-time licenses are here to stay after the acquisition? (See https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/press/newsroom/canva-press-release/) Any guesses how long before Affinity users are training Canva's mass-market product to replace them? The only safe harbor for ownership of your work, data, and tools is . It's not too late to learn and contribute to @inkscape @GIMP @krita @Blender et al

Since there appear to be multiple projects called Graphite, I just wanted to double check: I think you mean https://graphite.rs/ ?

I had been wondering the same. In their newest post they wrote: "D-Apps (decentralized apps)".

Shipping prices have been reduced from €30 to €12 for the EU, and from £24 to £10 for the UK!
Originally, when our marketplace parts were being shipped to customers in the EU and the UK, they were being shipped directly from Taiwan. But thanks to you guys wanting to buy parts, we were able to partner with Fedex Fulfillment Services to create a regional fulfillment center in the Netherlands and pass the savings onto you. But as always, your laptop ships for free!

App idea: a word processor that doesn’t expose every single possible possible formatting option permanently in a huge top bar. Create headings, write text, mark important sections, insert images, and that’s it. Export as a PDF and move on. In contrast to a note taking app / markdown editor, this would actually be intended as a simpler and more focused alternative to , and such.

Are you a #Linux user who wants to make #Thunderbird look more like a native GNOME app?

Here's a great solution: https://www.omglinux.com/thunderbird-gnome-theme/

Thanks @omglinux!

Awesome, thank you for sharing the link, I hadn't come across this before. Looks really good and a lot more native on gnome! :gnome: :thunderbird:

I’ve come across GTK switches like these several times before. What does the top one mean? Is it “on” or “off”? The position would indicate, that it is “off” but it is painted blue, which implies, to me, that it is on.
The other two switches in this screenshot look like what I expect switches to look like, when they are “on” and “off”.
(Screenshot from inside a GTK4 application - all the switches on this page started of in this in-between state.)
