@ChrisMayLA6 When I worked for a supermarket I was constantly asked to do more hours when starting a shift. It's hard to decline any extra work if you're worried about your job

Carers allowance is so inadequate people are forced to watch every penny on top of their exhausting care giving.

Carers do a FANTASTIC job, and SAVE so much money with the neverending loving care they provide, so the 'State' don't need to. They should be respected and appreciated not demonised.

Make no mistake, right-wing Westminster’s plans to enforce silence on protest will be forced on Scotland if we don’t choose independence. They have made it very clear over the last few years that they support devolved powers only if they do as England does.

@Indyposterboy It's also that they have no intention of improving anything in Westmonster, other than their own (off shore) bank accounts, so because Scotland is CONSISTENTLY better at so many things the plan is to trash everything asap, put us and keep us in place. You can imagine the wall to wall media coverage lined up already. 😠

@Sheril If he's full/part BMD, enjoy picking him up while you can, but the cuddles wont stop when he's mahoosive. Our BMD was 52 kg and could put his front paws on my husband's shoulders (hubby is 6ft1!). They love to sit on your feet and lean back into you. Also the minute you put a lead on they pull, being a draught dog. Off lead they will happily stay with you. 💜🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

(I used to follow Bunsen & Beaker on Twtr for 🇨🇦 BMD fun.)

Really struggling with depression just now. Apart from the , the dreadful ongoing wars in , and , and the collapse of democratic politics in the UK, my own immediate life is a mess of technical problems which I've failed to fix and which are blocking me from achieving pretty much anything.

@simon_brooke I find myself retreating into music and books more and more. I support what I can, including financially, but we seem to be witness to so many dancing to a specific despotic agenda.
I am consoled slightly by chaos theory, which always turns up somehow or other and usually on the opposite side to arrogance.

A friend, who dyes and sells yarn, gave me the skein as it was completely tangled and it was unsellable because of that.

While untangling it just called "leafs" to me so leafs it turned into.

Close encounters of the equine kind.
Two little Shetland ponies are moving into a new paddock on one of my regular walks. Today I met two girls walking them. Apparently they have been trained as therapy ponies. The girls stopped to let them meet a grey pony that only has sheep for company.

@felicitymartin When I transported horses for a living I took two chestnut Shetlands to be lawnmowers at a retirement home. The ponies were introduced to the residents through the french doors before going to their field and shelter, and were frequent visitors in that manner thereafter. The ponies were so gentle. 🧡

I was going to ask, does your old house have any strangeness? Not bad, just different? We get the smell of baking. And we're surrounded by fields so it's no the neighbours. And sensing things falling over enough that you instinctively reach out, but nothing's there. And loud bumps occasionally. They're seem to be like time echoes.

BBC's Ghosts is brilliant. And when you consider the lives a building this old has witnessed, including the passing of my in-laws more recently, it wouldn't surprise me if the stone walls absorb something.

And then there's the standing stones.🤔

@fkamiah17 They most definitely have an energy to them. This is know as the Bridle stone at Bladnoch.

Personally I think stone circles are an early form of parliament, with the gatherings at set times of the year, eg solstices/equinoxes.

And if you ever want some extra dosh anytime, and you can choose to do as much or as little as you want, I highly recommend
TP Transcription. No tricks or gimmicks like some I've come across.
