@mcc I’ve been typing apt get for years and just forced myself to switch to apt because I kept seeing hints in docs that somehow apt is newer? I have no idea why.

For a long time as a kid, before I saw "HIGHNESS" written out in relation to royalty, I just assumed it was another title. Princess, heiness, etc.

PSA: there are now good lead detection kits available.

This is kinda weird to publicly endorse but I wanted to let people know about this relatively cheap and effective lead detection kit that just became available. The kit includes a water soluble solution that fluoresces under UV light to show you the presence of lead on a surface. (1/4)

surprisingly, Apple’s music.app opened and asked if I wanted to add this disc to my music library, there are still import settings in music.app for ripping a disc into all the formats you’d want, excepting flac for which there’s apple’s lossless encoder.

music.app also popped up and asked what I wanted to name a new playlist before importing the disc or asking if I wanted to add it to my library, I have no idea why.

@anildash I’m not sure why but for me your blog doesn’t load the css in Safari (17.2.1) on macOS (14.2.1), it’s fine on iPadOS, console says it’s 404ing. Turned off my adblocker for your domain. No idea what’s up with that. probably works for others if you aren’t getting complaints.

@nickheer Did they say why? Here on Oʻahu we just had rolling blackouts earlier in the week due to some generating equipment failures. I’m sure they didn’t do it to Waikiki since they don’t want tourists upset with the occupation government.
