I can't stop scientists from doing it. That's not my lane but you know everybody else is >:/

@ai6yr Just let them have it man. There is clearly too much stupidity running rampant on this planet. If that's the answer to it, so be it.
Hell, let them shoot up bleach to protect themselves from the "gay mind virus". At this point there's no other answer to any of this clearly.
You cannot fix stupid.

B_Whitewind,
@B_Whitewind@regenerate.social avatar

@ai6yr Clearly they're just going to keep killing children either way. A single one is too many but it's not up to us. There are just certain things that are about to happen and I don't think any of us can stop them anymore. I wouldn't shed a tear if the dumbest most hate-filled pieces of shit to ever live went first.
My own grandfather went blind because Donald Trump told him to take malaria medication. I am conflicted of course, but it is something I will never forget. Neither will he because he has to have shots in his eye balls every few weeks now.
My own mother gave it to him. None of them give a single fuck to this day.

@wendinoakland @deewani @ai6yr @mjausson I don't think mice drink milk anyway. Who is who is doing this???
Oh scientist, uhh I guess that's fair?
I mean clearly not to the mice but still at least it's not like a fad or something I was unaware of.

The only real difference at this moment between me and a Japanese homeless man is the solar panels.
I've been working this whole time. Through all this, a year now of this, I never stopped.
Went to work blind, went to work broken, went to work weeping. Find whatever s*** job you can and buy some f****** solar panels 👍
I snagged some property because I am a demon when it comes to tax laws.
This place is not much larger than a U-Haul. The structure was just an abandoned shack full of spiders and ants. I lived in a van and in a pavilion.
I had one solar panel then and a Bluetti battery.
I spent 3 years just clearing trash and the ever regrowing walls of trees out of my driveway so I could see to walk to said shack.
I crafted the natural hedge bushes and foliage around over the roof to keep it cooler than it should be in here during the summer.
I retrofitted with space age insulation, installed a broken heat pump and then managed to get a small air conditioner and tiny heater working.
When it gets super cold here in the winter instead of dying I fire up the kerosene heater.
If it's above freezing and I turn it on it hits 98 in here.
The battery bank is sized correctly but I only managed to install half of the solar panels needed.
One of them has since been destroyed and will soon be placed.
I will spend the rest of the year trying to upgrade the power system before it's 90° at night here.
I'm only lacking insulation on one of the remaining walls and a small bit of floor.
I've cut off the small half of the building where the bathroom is.
One day I'll put up a real wall and finish the rest.
The plans called for two layers of this installation. I have most one.
Ants constantly get in here somewhere. I can't figure out how the hell they're getting in here.
There seem to be a few gaps in the paneling. I have some very formidable foam stuff to handle that but I've only had my eyes back for like half a day. Maybe one day tops. I'm going to make sure I don't end up blind or in the hospital from some weird infection before I gas myself again.
I had a projector and a fire stick plugged into it. TV in here is the size of the wall. The fire stick is gone. I had to pull pieces of electronics out of light fixtures in here after the attack.
My steam deck was broken to pieces but I managed to tack it back together. If I stick it in the dock and run that out to the TV, I now have bungee cabled to my cabinet space (?), It works about as good as it used to if I give it some TLC.
Unfortunately my power was already not in such a good place. It's even worse now with one of the panels down.
I know how to make a solar still and do all kinds of stuff with the Sun but I have to make a mad dash to upgrade the power or all of this will be for nothing when the summer comes.
I'll never forget that year the whole city almost burned down. The low was 98 at night.
My clever use of nature and design concepts keep this place much cooler than it normally would be, but there's only so much slack that's going to buy me. Once it hits 80 in here I start getting heat warnings for my equipment. If it drops below 32 nothing charges anymore.
I have to stay in a certain temperature range and have very little time.

What is a movie that always makes you laugh?

Personal pick:

Anything Mel Brooks, but Robin Hood: Men in Tights, it's just funny every time I watch it.

If you can't flee geographically start hardening your abode.
Your neighbors might think you're crazy. Probably best if they never even knew actually. Doesn't matter they'll be dead.
Fire, humans, deluge, drought, scorching heat, global food shortages.
Everyone not still sitting in a fuck crater will still be hit.
If they've cut down every tree leave now. If you're near the ocean, leave now. If you're artificially sustained by snowmelt being channeled, leave now.
If you're somewhere that's naturally a desert currently covered in golf courses, leave now.
Power grids will fail under the strain assuming the storms don't get them.
The tap water is already poisonous. Make a solar still and learn to use the Sun. There will be enough of it.
Start harvesting rainwater and growing plants. You will need them soon.

Because I decided to practice daily at the beginning of this year, I am able to do 3 hours of mowing with a push mower in a row and not be messed up after this.

I am getting close to 50 years old, I am not exactly young anymore. My body used to be in such a bad shape that what I did today was impossible.

Yoga has changed my life and yard work is not a concern anymore.

Fuming mildly after seeing a personal anecdote designed to make men like me more comfortable with the notion of seeking emergency medical care in ambiguous situations that might be, but probably aren't, a heart attack. "Just go to the nearest ER and get checked out, it's the wise and smart thing to do, your wife will love you for your commitment to staying alive for her!"

It's also a quick way to incur more debt in an afternoon than some of us make in a year. Not such an easy decision to make.

The first things I did where that necklace, the Tarot, and the alter.
It's in my book. I wrote that part of the book about the necklace about that necklace. I know what I'm talking about because I literally just went and did it until I figured all this s*** out.
That book is step by step how I got like this. That's why I wrote it.

@ai6yr @meganL just use coir man.
Peat comes from the peat moss that's on fire and vermiculite is 100% going to give you that warm asbestos feeling inside.
I used pure pearlite for a hydro bucket system once and you know it's like a lot like Styrofoam. I don't know what it's actually made out of but I don't like it very much mainly because I don't like the scrunchiness.
Upside it's not made of peat or asbestos 👍

B_Whitewind,
@B_Whitewind@regenerate.social avatar

@ai6yr @meganL Oh yeah, that'd be about right for cactus. Somehow I have some f***** up cactuses everywhere here. I'm trying to get less cactuses, not more cactuses. I don't even know what they're doing here. It's Alabama for God's sake go home cactuses you're drunk!

The whole Middle East, Africa, and the equator are fucked. I can't find the chart. I honestly don't care at this point. But trust me when I tell you that if you don't get out of the places that are about to turn purple in the big scary maps, you're going to be bigly on fire...
I mean apparently we're all f*** now but you know you don't have to like run into the bigly scary purple/black areas if you can help it.
Get away from deserts. If where you are used to be a desert, and people are pumping snow cap water and groundwater down there to keep it from being a desert. You're about to once again be in a desert. It is unsustainable madness and one way or another it's super about to stop.
If you live by the ocean you're about to be living in the ocean and probably also on fire somehow.
The breaking point already passed. People are just too stupid to realize it yet.
Also, ironically it should rain more than anyone's ever seen it rain before until the end. Who knows. Maybe it'll just be 150° and raining instead of on fire at the equator. I don't know where it's going to go but I promise you when you put this much water vapor into the atmosphere it's going to come back down somewhere.
Warm air holds more moisture than cold 😉

Hi folks, I know folks mean well when they post information on news events, but PLEASE vet your sources before reposting dramatic articles/etc. you see. If you're not familiar with the publication, DON'T POST IT. Or check on the source...

For example, I recently saw an article posted from the Daily Caller, which is essentially a channel for white supremacist propaganda, interspersed with other normal news.

The Supreme Court Rules That Cops Can Steal Your Stuff—as They Always Have
By a 6-3 vote, the conservative justices decided that there is no need for the state to provide a preliminary hearing in civil forfeiture cases.😡

When cops decide to help themselves to your property, they can do it without a warrant, without securing a conviction, without even charging you with a crime. 😡

When the government doesn't obey the law,
Then there is no law.
