Maybe this is just me being paranoid, but I've noticed a rise in somewhat innocent looking nostalgia content, and as much as I love nostalgia, I feel like there's an intentional effort going on to groom people into being resistant to societal change.

@BlackAzizAnansi Yeah I can see that working on multiple levels. You get folks lionizing a faux idealized past or rehabbing the actual past (picking and choosing which they'll wax nostalgic on and ignoring the inconvenient bits)

@BlackAzizAnansi yeah... lost hope in the Democrats and embraced leftist anarchism. Working on understanding prison abolition better since it's true that cops don't prevent crime and if anything cause more of it. Learning more how connected a lot of prejudice are methods to isolate and prevent coalition building. Learned that anti capitalism doesn't mean anti commerce, but an awareness of the system and noticing who it favors. A lot of health exclusion/ablism policies are eugenics
