#EvilDeadRise is a substantial improvement from 2013's #EvilDead reboot. The characters in this one actually feel real enough for me to get emotionally invested. It does away with the overt campiness of the original trilogy, as is the trend. I've never been a big Ash fan anyway.
Still the VFX/scares stay closer to the fun side of the genre, despite the buckets of blood. The monstrosity at the climax is great.
I just heard — hands down — the best zombie story ever told.
It's not scary; it is wildly clever and I can't recommend this quick read/listen enough... if you have #Audible, give this a listen. And if you don't, (consider getting Audible bc all the cool kids have it and at a bare minimum just for the time being) track down Andy Weir's short story "Anti Anthoxiant."
"Once infected, victims display overall weakness and low-grade fever (6,8). In the case of zombiism, the advent of fever typically indicates the transition from human into zombie. When affected by rabies, human movement is irregular; muscle spasms and convulsions accompany numbness and loss of muscle function (6). " BRAIIINSSSS #zombies#rabies
Okay. Me & my partner would pick E (Spade), G (Mattock), 4 (Bolo Machete) & 7 (Hatchet).
My rationale? What I put here for them, but also more. In tandem, you can use a bolo machete & the hatchet hammer to split planks off of logs for building a shelter. All are durable & handles can be made in a pinch. #zombies#Archaeology
Two of you are dropped off at a remote marshy site to excavate. Hours later you get a call from the office that is abruptly cut off...zombie apocalypse!
You each can take 1 large & 1 small tool to try to survive.
Which 2 large & 2 small tools do you & your partner choose (4 total) & why? 🤪🧟♂️
@b_cavello As to my choices for me & my partner & the reasons (E, G, 4 & 7). Rationale is what I put in this graphic for my choices, but also more. In tandem, you can use a bolo machete & the hatchet hammer to split planks off of logs for building a shelter. All are durable & handles can be made in a pinch. #Archaeology#Zombies
I was browsing GameMaps this afternoon for a potential fun campaign to play this evening with a friend, and I came across The Hive – a campaign based in the Resident Evil Universe.
Who loves #zombies? Besides me, I mean. I definitely do. I love them so much I made some music about them, and if you love zombies, too, I think you'll enjoy this track!
It's October, so the spooky season is officially at hand! In other words, a perfect time to dive into some new music full of monsters, madmen, zombies and ghosts! And hey, my album Psychedelic Ghost Stories is just such an album! I actually wrote and recorded most of it last year during October, so the vibes are right! Happy listening and Happy #Halloween!
Top of the pops on my website this week is my accidental growing of the massively poisonous and hallucinogen Datura stramonium or devil’s snare! A fascinating plant in #mythology and #folklore the world over but not one to have with a family around.
