I don't hate winter, but I keep forgetting I need to wear clothes. It's like, "I'm freezing! Why am I freezing?", and then I remember I'm still in my underwear :)
Budapest, 1955. A rather cute little boy stares at the camera. He seems almost lost. Less than a year later this very same street would see some of the fiercest fighting as Soviet tanks crushed the revolution. I imagine his parents would not have let me outside then.
Lots of dew-drenched spiderwebs on Park Island this morning.
it's chilly, and I noticed many furry caterpillars had crawled out to the tips of the plants, presumably to catch some sun. They looked SO COLD and wet.
The background sounds to these images is the ongoing grunting, honking, and beeping of a flock of flamingos. They may look elegant, but they definitely don't sound elegant.
Today we are guiding a couple on Mulhacen. After a poor winter, snow-wise, it seems like things are looking up towards the end of May! 😂 Photos show the summit and clients descending the west flank to spend the night at the Refugio Caldera shelter which can be seen looming out of the mist. It's still winter folks!

In the past, I had made some faux buildings on my island. The top is intended to look like the Temple of Time from #TheLegendOfZelda: #OcarinaOfTime. The bottom is meant to look like a 2 story skii chalet.
I think both came out well, but neither really fit the motif of my island these days.
