A distant view of one of Iceland's highest waterfalls here, with a car towing a caravan in the bottom right to help with the sense of scale. This is Grundarfoss and that drop is seventy metres. Grundarfoss is close to the town of Grundarfjörður on the northern coast of the incredibly beautiful Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
(10/10) I just realized I forgot to include the last photo in my top 10 favourites of 2023 series of posts! So last but not least is this small waterfall flowing through moss covered rocks in Whatcom Falls Park in Bellingham, Washington State.
Encore !
An unknown waterfall somewhere along Norway's Nordfjord last year. You can get a sense of its size from the house in the photo. It was bitterly cold as we cruised through this part of the fjords, but you never let a little thing like the temperature stop you from being awestruck by what nature offers up.

EN : I can no longer access the lower part of the Goarem ar Garrec waterfall. That was in December 2020, the last time I went down there. That morning, water overflowed the lock on the canal at Châteaulin. #pint https://finistere.en-photo.fr/poselongue
Short #hiking to Hardy and Rodney Falls near Hamilton Mountain. The falls pours into the Pool of the Winds, but it's been raining so much, today for #waterfallwednesday it's more like Pool of the Oh My God So Much Water!! Also went up Beacon Rock basically across the street, well, down the trailhead road and across the highway.
This is a small waterfall at Whatcom Falls Park in Bellingham, Washington State, USA. I liked the small waterfall but the green moss and the sprinkling of fall maple leaves are why I stayed and worked on a composition.
And now, for waterfall Wednesday, I present... a waterfall. Which one? I can't recall and I don't have location data on this one. Probably Newfoundland? I dunno, but I like it so here it is!
#Bretagne#pint
EN : this morning, as the water inlet sluice to the bucket wheel is closed (mill closed on weekdays), all the water flows into the natural bed of the creek in front of the #mill.
