Nothing special, but I like the neon highlights of the refracted light and the noise, which looks like high iso but it's just water mist from the waterfall - The Lagoa do Vento Waterfall (Levada das 25 Fontes) Madeira, Portugal 🇵🇹
#Croatia 🇭🇷 Day 5.1! #Waterfall galore at #KrkaNationalPark! A brief boat cruise, stunning views, nice paths to walk on with kids. It was a lot of people, can’t even begin to imagine how it is in high season…😁 Kids were having a blast seeing such a big waterfall for the first time!🥰
At this location in North Carolina, the mountains drop off abruptly into the Piedmont hills: the Appalachian Escarpment. Weather patterns create unusually large amounts of rain. Huge granite rock faces generate waterfalls in large numbers. You can see five to ten in a single day.
There's so much to love about the little streams and falls that cross so many PNW trails—from the impressive roar of cascading water to the refreshing aromas stirred up in the churn—but I think my favorite thing is the noticeable dip in temperature as I approach the stream. It always feels like the air on the trail is at least a degree or two cooler at the water, and that's a welcome shift on a strenuous hike or trail run.
